I, Birungi Ives, started the design consultation firm B.ZEN  in
2007. I began loving beauty at a very young age. I could find it anywhere,
especially in nature. My interests in art, music, dance, literature and all aspects of
design developed over time. With the experience of growing up in the United
States with Ugandan parents that have a strong sense of African style to moving
to England and living in a true European cosmopolitan area, my sense of
aesthetics broadened. And as I matured, married and had my son, I knew that this
beauty all around us was worth nothing unless we protected and were conscious
of the environment that holds it.
