The Passion Behind The Purpose

I started the design consultation firm B.ZEN in 2007. I began loving beauty at a very young age. I could find it anywhere, especially in nature. My interests in art, music, dance, literature and all aspects of design developed over time. With the experience of growing up in the United States with Ugandan parents that have a strong sense of African style to moving to England and living in a true European cosmopolitan area, my sense of aesthetics broadened. And as I matured, married and had my son, I knew that this beauty all around us was worth nothing unless we protected and were conscious of the environment that holds it.

The Promise Project, Family and Children’s Association

After School Program for 6th, 7th and 8th Grade Students

Status: ongoing

Building on our grassroots network, B.ZEN participated in The Promise Project in the Art Workshop portion of the project. B.ZEN conducted weekly workshops to provide eager and intelligent children with continuous development of their inner artist through consistent exposure to a plethora of artistic media. A corporate mission of B.ZEN is to foster an artistic means for self discovery and to reinforce the belief that anything is possible if one truly believes in oneself.
